1Life Workplace Safety and Health - High Impact Professional Training

Workplace Violence and Harassment

1/2 Day

All workplaces contain the potential for violence and harassment. The Workplace Safety and Health Regulations require all employers to develop violence prevention policies, identify the risk of violence in the workplace and implement control measures to mitigate those risks where reasonably practicable.  Training of employees is also a requirement.

Course content includes:

  • violence and harassment defined
  • legal requirements under MR 217/06
  • factors that increase the risk of violence
  • warning signs of potential violence
  • preventing workplace violence
  • how to respond when confronted with harassment or violence

This course is conducted by a 27 yr. RCMP member and includes both classroom and on site training when ever possible.    Lots of personal stories and hands on scenario practice makes for an interesting and fun learning experience!

Also included with the course are sample polices, procedures and risk assessments.
