We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Safety Professional. Reporting to the President, duties will be assigned based on the candidate’s knowledge, experience level and strengths. Responsibilities include:

• Designing, developing, updating and implementing various safety, health and environment initiatives to assist clients to implement or improve their Safety Management System.
• Reviewing and evaluating new and changing provincial regulations/legislation and their impact to clients.
• Conducting gap analyses and audits to measure client safety and health performance, then making recommendations, writing reports and assisting clients with implementation of recommendations.
• Developing and delivering training and education programs.
• Interacting with clients and potential clients in the quotation and contracting process.

The ideal candidate will:

• possess strong interpersonal skills, both oral and written
• be proficient with the Microsoft suite of products
• be an analytical thinker, detail oriented and a self-starter
• be able to work under pressure, manage deadlines and be able to prioritize and handle multiple demands

Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess a high school diploma with a recognized certificate or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety. Candidates with CRSP or CHSC designations are preferred. Previous experience in Workplace Safety and Health is required. The successful candidate will demonstrate commitment to safety and continuous quality/process improvement. Excellent communication, leadership, interpersonal, organizational and problem solving skills are also required.
